Die Arbeitsgruppe hat Definitionen für gängige Fehler erstellt und vorhandene Erfahrungen in den aktuellen Katalog eingearbeitet. Er listet auch mögliche Fehlerursachen und Gründe für Fehldiagnosen auf. Größe und Schweregrad der Mängel sollten charakteristisch sein, variieren aber im Umfang. So kann der Fehler z.B. in stärkerer oder schwächerer Ausprägung am Grobblech auftreten.
